Security Update
Husky customers know that from time to time, we host contests and promotions on our website.
During these contests, we ask entrants to provide information to help us contact them in the event they win a prize. Typically, this includes such publicly available information as name, address and phone number. Husky retains that information in a secured database so that contestants need only to create a profile once to enter our contests.
In an effort to help protect the privacy of our contestants, Husky recently deleted all profiles on our database, with the exception of individuals who have subscribed to our
e-newsletter. We have removed all non-essential information from our subscriber profiles, leaving only name, e-mail address and city/province so that we can contact those interested in geographically specific events or promotions.
What this means to you:
- Those who look forward to entering our contests will simply create a new profile every time there is a new contest, rather than relying on our database to "remember" you.
- Those who subscribe to our e-newsletter will still be able to log in to a secure environment to update key information such as your e-mail address.
We hope these changes in our information management process provide you with the confidence in knowing that Husky appreciates your business and respects and protects your right to privacy.
